the beauty of _my_ blog

dear paris wagon guy -

this is my place. mine. my safe place to be me, express me, and be comfortable with me.

this is where i feel free to write what i will, express whatever tickles my fancy today, put out there whatever is on my mind. this is _my_ place to do with as i please. and if you don't like what i'm writing, then peace the eff out.

if i want to write about politics, i will. if i want to write about how madly in love with my boyfriend i am, or how much more amazing life is with a dog, or how the above two loves have changed my life's priorities, i will. if i want to write about discovering life in my new city, above and below her streets, this is my place to do so.

i am not here to be original, above and beyond what's new or important to me. i'm not here to satiate your need for me to be something greater than just a girl exploring her new city. and gosh, i sure do hate to disappoint my fans, but i'm just a girl exploring her new city with her new dog, whilst exploring new feelings for a new boyfriend.

if you want to come here and read about me, you are welcome. and you are even welcome to post comments that i won't delete. but don't you dare come to _my_ place and tell me what i should be doing here. this place is _mine_ not yours. and if you don't like that, then go away...

  1. To be quite honest, I skim the political commentary. I come to this site because I want to read about what's going on with Kelli, since it is her blog and all. Though it is nice to learn new things as well. You keep being you, girl, and I'll be here to read about it.

  2. You are completely right. I was an ass and apologize. Got riled up watching 60 Minutes,
had some drinks, came to your blog hoping for something that wasn't there. I just miss your wisdom and insights around current events/politics. My comments were inappropriate.

  3. Hi Kelli (and Paris Guy),

To be completely honest, after reading the previous post and finding that Paris Guy had left a long drawn out comment, I just felt this gut feeling that I shouldn't read it! I'm glad I didn't then...that was a bad day for me and I came to my girl Kelli's blog see how life was spinning her that day. But after checking in today and finding her new post, I went back and read your comment. I'm glad you apologized...but as one of the "readers" you referenced I have to say this....I DO NOT AGREE AND FRANKLY, I'M OFFENDED BY YOU!

As someone who writes a blog of what others may deem crap, but I deem worthwhile, I'm offended that you'd take the time to sit and judge any other blog reader/creator. I'd be offended even if I didn't consider Kelli a friend. I understand your longing for her political side...but for Christ's Sake...she's in a NEW CITY! She's allowed to explore it and tell us about it. She's allowed to tell us how cute her dog is, or if the f-ing sky turned purple as she walked to the subway! She can even just start making shit up to get our goat! She can do whatever she wants!

I personally follow Kelli's blog because I love her passion for all things she puts her mind to! She doesn't half-heart shit. When I found myself Kelli-less, I was glad I could come here and peek into her world. I was glad that I could hear about her new place, and her job and dog and life! I was glad that this was a way to stay in the loop with a friend who I may not get to talk to for a very long time.

Maybe this rant is out of line...maybe this isn't my place. Even though you've already apologized and I should just let it go...I still had to say my peace because well...you got to sprew your bullshit...I get to sprew mine!

  4. Kelli, don't change a thing. You blog is awesome exactly the way it is.
    Happy Friday - love you!
